Strand entered the final round of the tournament in second place after back-to-back rounds of 67, but then shot a six over par 78 to finish in a tie for ninth place. Her 54-hole score was 212, four under par. The Huskers finished eighth.
Three days earlier, Strand finished 11th in Johns Island, South Carolina. Strand ended the 54-hole event with an even-par 216 (71-74-71) in three rounds on the par-72 course. Four golfers tied for first, all shooting five under par. Nebraska tied for 10th.
